APEX Hearing Systems Ltd. offers a range of styles to meet your hearing needs as well as your own personal needs. There are a range of factors to consider when evaluating which product is right for our clients. Hearing loss, manual dexterity, communication environments and cosmetic appeal are just some of the factors which must be considered in determining which product is best for our clients. There are several different styles of hearing aids.

The Behind The Ear hearing aid is commonly called the BTE. It rests behind the outer ear and is connected to a specially designed mold which is custom made to fit into the ear. This style can also be attached to a thin tube to allow for a more open fit. Typically this style of hearing aid utilizes a bigger battery therefore, lasting usually between two to three weeks.

The In The Ear hearing aid can completely fill the ear or partially fill the ear. It uses greater miniaturization of the BTE. It is just one piece and should fit snugly into the ear. The Completely In The Canal hearing aid is smaller yet. It is fit deep into the ear canal to allow for a more discrete look. Typically this hearing aid has less power available in it.

Open Fit hearing aids such as the Delta and Epoq have allowed for greater comfort with hearing aids. These hearing aids do not completely block or occlude the ear therefore; it is a more natural sound quality and allows for greater comfort when wearing the device. Many of our clients have reported a high amount of satisfaction with these devices and an easier adjustment period when compared to more traditional hearing aid styles.
